For a knockoff, this controller isn’t so bad. It feels kinda cheap, but it works just fine. The buttons are responsive and do what they are supposed to do. For the price and how this controller has performed I have to give it 5 stars.
Overall just a terrible controller. While technically it "works" the directional pad continuously falls off of the controller rendering it unusable.Look elsewhere for replacement Genesis controllers!

…it did not meet my expectations…although…it still had many of the games that I remember…and bought for my kids…however, there was something lacking in the characters movement, explosiveness…and the sound quality was not as sharp and crisp as the sound heard on the original…otherwise…it’s an okay system… :)

I bought two controllers and neither of them work! I plugged them in and twice I tried them both and neither one worked!! I am beyond upset I have spent months collecting all the games and the console and the remotes and I finally got the games I wanted and go to play and the controllers are a bust!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! THEY DO NOT WORK AT ALL!!
Worked well….not for long though. Cheap and fragile. After a while the dpad will snap. Just buy a few because they break extremely easily

This is my experience of using the controller on the Atari 2600, NOT the Sega Genesis, because I do not like holding joysticks for an hour which hurts my hand! Anyway I was very skeptical about this thing working when I first got it, but when I put in a copy of Pitfall 2, I jumped back in amazement that this 3rd party controller did something that I thought an official Sega Genesis Controller could do! The only problem I had was that the D-Pad was not as well made as a Sega Genesis controller but it did not bother me that much. The only button you need to use is the B button on the Atari since there is only one button and no pause function. I recommend this to people who can’t find an official Sega Genesis controller or just hate using joysticks on the Atari.
I’m glad I ordered the 6-Button SEGA Genesis Mini because it was exactly what I needed. Now I can utilize all the moves of the video games that I love. Ex. Street Fighter 2.Thank you very much!
