I’ve watched every single show, from all the series, all the movies, etc… probably about 5 times over now. Still the best thing to watch when you have nothing else to do. But do make sure you watch everything in the order it was released, else it’s just not the same. I’ll keep paying for prime, as long as I can still keep watching stargate :P
I love this series and like FIREFLY, I hope, will get a fan base that lives on for many years to come. Thank you to all the Cast are Crew that made this series possible.
I have the entire series on DVD, as I watched the pilot here on retrolio I waited for certain iconic lines of dialogue, but they never appeared. Finally, I pulled out the DVD and sure enough parts of conversations are missing. I guess they did it to cut the pilot down to an hour? Why? If you are here for the first time please be aware you are missing among other things the full dialogue between Jack and Sam when they first meet. It sets the stage for their relationship. Well, you just can’t miss it, all right?
watched this show during it initial airing and have to say rewatching it now it is still as entertaining as it once was.just a little issue with episode ordering on season 7, Episode 1 and 3 need to be swapped around. The description of said episodes is correspond with what should be in the episodes but the video “files” themselves need to be swapped, other than that everything else has been quite enjoyable, excluding having to reset my audio format every 10-20 minutes to resync the video and audio but I think that is on my end or some issue with the retrolio website, not sure.
I remember this show from my childhood, still great scifi that doesn’t take itself too seriously. personally my favorite series of the stargate franchise.
I have loved this show since I was a child. I used to feel like Samantha Carter was my role model. Now I’m twenty five years old and I still love this show. I think in the film universe, I’m in love with Dr. Gregory House, from House, M.D., Jesse Pinkman, from Breaking Bad, and Dr. Daniel Jackson, from Stargate SG-1. Maybe Ricky Fitts. Can you maybe-love something? Although Jackson sometimes annoys me — like how he sometimes fails to consider the possibility that he is wrong on certain topics because of the arrogance of his intelligence when I believe that truly smart people (myself included) ought to be critical and challenge themselves as well as everything else… it’s sort of like total integration of aptitude in a high functioning active capacity. I used to hate that in the X-Files movie as well, how the so called “scientist,” a lover of science, kept saying things were “impossible,” rather than just accepting that she couldn’t yet explain them. If it happened, it is possible. Something is possible. Yeah, I get the residual skepticism when something seems outrageous, but you should immediately begin by tackling how it happened, not how it couldn’t have happened. But I digress… oh my gosh, this review is going to be terribly written.I LOVE this show so much. There’s even an episode where top secret government information gets leaked to a TV show and the TV show is not shut down because it is decided that if the information should ever be leaked again, they could cite t.
At first retrolio left out the first couple seasons and episodes in other seasons. Now you can watch all 10 seasons, thank you retrolio. Now they just need to release the follow up movies that finishes off the series and opens up the Stargate Atlantis series.
I have seen the movie, and the series only provides an increase in the depth of the characters that began in the movie. These two episodes provide an excellent bridge and stepping off point for the series to begin.
I notice many of the reviews are centered around Prime’s user interface. This show should have a much higher rating, but people who struggle with computers and internet seem to think that this series should suffer because of their anger towards retrolio.
One of the first shows to make me think more in depth about everything. negative reviews and all aside, being 9 watching the first show and growing up watching it pretty regularly for the first 6 or 7 seasons and coming back to polish off the entire thing has been an awesome experience and lesson about how memories can take you back in time
