This games rocks! I received it as a gift and thought that it was going to be stupid. But I decided to pop it into the NES and just play it to get the feel for the gameplay and if it indeed was a dumb game. Boy was I wrong; this game kept me occupied for hours on end. Great game to the last level. Fun gameplay. Unique idea and style of play, and one of the most unknown games on the market. I would buy it if they made it available for Gamecube.
Just as great as I remember it from childhood!
Great condition and it worked perfectly. Thank you!
Man, this game brings back memories… Do you ever get tired of having your hand held throughout the entire game in this modern era of consoles? Does it seem fair to you that your game is saved every 2 minutes? Well, fret no more!!! This game has NO WAY TO SAVE, (no battery/password system), and has a fairly high difficulty level. Myself, and millions of others, used to have to leave the NES on for several days while trying to beat this game! I would get frustrated and tired so I would got to bed with the system still on but the TV turned off. You aren’t a NES gamer unless you can tell me what it is like to try and sleep with a bright red light shining in your eyes. Seriously, that power light on the NES was BRIGHT at night! Anyways, this game still holds up well. The soundtrack still sounds awesome!!! The graphics are pretty good considering this game was programmed back in 1986/1987, and the fun factor is still high. If you get a chance, pick up a copy of this game. It remains one of my favorite NES games of all time.
I purchased Rygar, to add to my selection of NES games. Rygar is certainly in my top ten list of favorite NES games of all time. I received the game in only four business days & it came in great shape also. For only $12.97 including the shipping cost, I think it was an excellent buy for that price. I would certainly without any doubt purchase from this shop again & will in the future for other NES games I want for my collection.
My brother and I used to play this game in the arcade and loved playing this game. Both of us got really good at this game.
ALL WAS OK
CLEAN AND WORKED! Husband was very happy! Very happy with delivery and game worked right off the bat….very clean pins and cart! TRUST WORTHY PEOPLE HERE!
Rygar’s a pretty cool game actually! Some people are turned off by the high difficulty but I welcome it with open arms baby because losing over and over is worth the struggle when you finaly conquer it.In the first stage you’re in a temple with a middle eastern setting using your nicely animated and fast-moving rod to battle rolling armadillos and tortoises. I like the scrolling effect showing the sun moving behind the mountains, and the heroic music. You should probably kneel down to take out the tortoises. The music changes in the next area and the temple grounds turn into trees, but you still face the same enemies.Climb a rope and walk into a door to hear that in the Gran Mountain lies the entrance to Garloz. The person who informs you of this knowledge? A giant wiseman sitting on top of a temple. Eerie. A strange walking creature walks around after you leave. He looks like a vulture-faced scarecrow. It’s quite disturbing! I can see right away this is going to be the kind of game that likes to spam a bunch of enemies at once.Talk to the mysterious wiseman who explains how to get to Garloz. You eventually climb to the second platform and arrive to an area with a top/down perspective surrounded by fields and mountains fighting armored lizards. This reminds me of the Grand Canyon. Travel north. Watch out for the pear spitting tree standing on a rope. The mysterious wiseman tells you about a grappling weapon you can acquire… right here! I really like how you.
