For those of you who have never played ruby and sapphire this game Is a must. They have stripped down the old hoenn and made it better than before. There Is a plethora of things to do and you may find ORAS taking up most of your free time. However, those familiar with the RSE games and didn’t like them may find ORAS more of the same thing. Game freak really did good on this game and it is certainly a must for RSE fans. It would take forever too list all the good things about this game and I will strongly recommend you try it for yourself.(Beware, there is no battle frontier in this game And there is still tons of water, so if those are deal breakers for you don’t buy it.)
I personally thought pokemon did a bad job previously with ds games, diamond/pearl were okay but I was disappointed with heart gold, but X and Y were pretty good but they stepped it up in these games. Great graphics, I love the storyline of sapphire and overall they did a great job on this game. I’ve been a huge pokemon game fan for 12 years and I’m telling you that you’ll be happy with this purchase. If you liked the GBA version of these games, you’ll really enjoy these new ones. If not message me and I’ll buy your omega ruby if you don’t like it.
it arrived a little early and in perfect condition. My son say’s it’s a little harder to get started w the game, but he’s a newer gamer and young. So take that w a grain of salt. He also got a new playing system (the 3ds vs the 2ds) at the same time.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are enhanced remakes of the original Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, which released on the Game Boy Advance 11 years ago. A few necessary changes have been made to the original versions to keep up with the newer generations, and some additional features have been added to give the games a fresh feeling to veteran players.DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ALPHA SAPPHIRE AND OMEGA RUBYLike usual, two versions of the same game are available. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are nearly identical; however, there are a few differences between the two that are larger than most alternate versions. The biggest alteration between the two versions is the main antagonist team. In Pokemon Omega Ruby, Team Magma will be the primary team you encounter throughout Hoenn. In Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Team Aqua will be the primary team you encounter throughout Hoenn.VERSION EXCLUSIVE POKEMONIn addition to slight story changes, select Pokemon will only be available in one of the versions. These version exclusive Pokemon are usually made to promote trading between players. All players can trade over wi-fi between X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire immediately after obtaining the Pokedex and installing the Player Search System app on the PokeNav Plus.Omega Ruby Exclusives— Alpha Sapphire ExclusivesGroudon ————- KyogreLatios ————- LatiasMawile ————— SableyeSeedot —————- LotadNuzleaf —————- LombreShiftry ————— LudicoloSolrock.
It’s a great game! I especially love the Soaring ability and the updated graphics. I just wish some of the elements like the Battle Frontier had also been included in this version, or the ability to customize your trainer. I loved the new post-elite four episode!
Absolutely fantastic, having played since the original ruby, Sapphire, emerald, but it felt completely ne… Well…almost, but still, the fact that its a remake is not a big deal at all, everything has changed so much in this 10+ years at pokemon games that everything besides certian specific events, feel brand new.plus the internet acces and apps within the game make.it that much enjoyable, im playing only with gen 1 pokemon at the moment bexause i can haha
I had to have been a kid when Sapphire first was released. Every bit of the story amazed me, and Alpha Sapphire easily matched up. It includes both the classic elements of the Hoenn region, albeit with some modifications – i.e Granite Cave.I feel as though they’ve simplified some elements of the game in comparison to the classic, but they’ve kept elements of the game quite consistent with the feel of the original game. For example, the Dewford Gym is still blacked out, Fortree is still a maze of trees, and Sootopolis – at least for me – was still difficult to find (took me probably a day in the first game).I look forward to the next games from Gamefreak and Nintendo will release in the future.
shop didn’t bother to delete the saved data which caused a lot of consternation and upset on Christmas morning while I google searched how to fix it. Otherwise is fine.
Hoenn was never my favorite of the Pokemon regions. The remakes, while containing wonderful graphics, some really entertaining new mechanics, and an ever-present nostalgia factor, left me a little bored. I didn’t have that urge that I just couldn’t put the game down. It’s been out for 3 months now, and I’m just now getting around to finishing up the Elite Four and embarking on post-game. There are weeks that will go by without me even picking this game up. It’s not something specific about the game that turns me off – there are just other things, other games, that I’d just rather play more. That being said, technically, this game is the best one to date. Encountering Pokemon in the actual world, and being able to sneak up on them, is a real blast. I also like the addition of the DexNav, which for a completionist like me, allows me to keep track of what Pokemon I’ve encountered on a route and how many of those I’ve managed to catch. The addition of overworld flying on Latios/Latias is actually pretty cool, and bring the idea of flying from place to place to a whole new level. There were also more story line additions this game, with cut scenes that broke away from the character sprite to give the game a bit more "world" feel – not everything occurs right in front of you.I don’t know how thrilled I am about being able to catch every legend – on the one hand, I think it’s a great idea to make everyone feel like there is plenty to keep them engrossed in the game..
I’ve been a longtime fan of the pokemon games. I was very eager for this remake and when I enjoyed it a lot I was a little let down by some factors involving this game. The customizable fashion option found in X and Y was missing. There’s not many new things in this remake to make it stand out and made more memorable.Battling against trainers, gym leaders and the villain teams is too easy, especially if the exp. share is turned on to distribute exp. points to the whole team to level them up faster. Those battles against the supposedly tough gym leaders and the villainous teams disappointed me.But on the plus side, the graphics is stunning, the atmosphere of this world is breathtaking You should see the sunken ship in there! One of the neatest things to admire in comparison to the original RSE games.I liked the 3D introduction of each gym leaders you encounter, you get to see more of their personality in 3D than you do the expressionless pixels of them in RSE.There’s just so many things I could go on about this game but I think I’ll stop it right here.I would recommend this to pokemon fans but must warn that those who played the original RSE may face some disappointments with this remake, but that shouldn’t stop it from being enjoyable.Happy gaming!
