Pirates Hunt for Blackbeard’s Booty – Features
Over 20 fun-filled pirate activities. Sword fight from the deck of your mighty pirate ship. Sail the winds of the wavy seas, dig up buried treasure chests. And play some recreational pirate mini-golf. Multi-player Pirate-mono-Pirate Action. Choose from 5 different environments. Each with 5 activities ranging from team-based to player-vs-player competition.
Win gold pieces for your efforts. Collect over 80 pieces of assorted treasures. And use them to customize your character and games. Buy swords, new boats or new outfits for your characters 3 modes of gameplay. Play in adventure mode. Olympics Mode or Master Series Mode.
Games And Modes
Blackbeard offers five different games to choose from it. And available right from the get go are:
- Sword Fighting.
- Row Row Row for Your Life.
- Treasure Hunters.
- Winds of the Wavy Sea.
- Squidball Sabotage.
However, the game is composed of two modes: Adventure and Trophy. In Adventure mode, you explore one area for treasure through playing the five mini-games. That is why after beating the mini-games, you unlock a new area of the map. But here you will commence to play the same games again. Rinse and repeat.
Sword Fight Game
In the sword fight game you have three basic moves (powerful, standard, and quick). That are performed by swinging the Wii remote top to bottom, right to left, and forward respectively. However, pressing B blocks and shaking the Wii remote and nunchuck simultaneously will tag your partner in.
Row Row Row for Your Life
The Row for Your Life event works better than sword fighting. But still isn’t a very fun experience. In Row for Your Life, teams of two race two laps around an aquatic course. And whoever has the most treasure at the end wins. One teammate steers the boat, while the other shoots.
Treasure Hunters
Treasure Hunters plays on a Bomberman like field where one team is offense (trying to collect treasure and bring it back to base). And the other team plays defense (trying to knock their opponents out.) In other words, there’s nothing complex to it. But at the same time there’s nothing fun.
Winds of the Wavy Sea
In Winds of the Wavy Sea, you play a top down free for all version of capture the flag. Because your remote’s cursor is a fan. And placing it behind your sail moves it in your desired direction. So, just grab treasure and bring it back to your base for points. Also you can steal treasure from a ship by shooting it with your cannon.
Squidball Sabotage
Squidball is about lining up a shot, pressing A. And swinging with a desired amount of force. However, sending your squid through the sixteen arches will make it poisonous to other squids. But if once poisoned, hit the opposing squid to kill them. And the last squid standing wins. But And if you bump into a squid before being poisoned, you can shoot that squid from a cannon. And also away from their next designated arch.
Therefore, winning events will reward you points where you can buy accessories in the game’s store. And these range from different swords to new sails. Also all of which are different for cosmetic purposes. But offer no strategic advantages.
