I first played Paper Mario Color Splash and didn’t even know of Sticker Star. I had such a good time playing Color Splash with my son and once completed, I knew I had to find another game that was just like it. So I searched and was ecstatic to have found Sticker Star! It was a lot of fun! It is quite similar to Color Splash (though I’d say Color Splash is a bit better). Sticker Star is a very entertaining enjoyable game. I recommend it.
Learning curve on this is a bit weird- in some areas the tutorials seem to hold your hand afraid you’ll fall over walking from a to b, and in others you wasted tons of stickers on something before the game explains a non-intuitive unique game mechanic to you. Fun and silly, but might appeal more to younger fans than longtime gamers.
Came and functioned perfectly. But it’s still a bad game. I wouldn’t recommend it.
This Paper Mario installment is different than previous ones for sure. I loved the original Paper Mario for its combat buddies and fun villages, as well as fun levels. You don’t have as many complex villages or side quest type things in this one, or combat buddies, but I still enjoyed it.
This is definitely different than the previous Paper Mario titles. You don’t get partners for one, and you use stamps as your attacks, which can be very cumbersome later on. It’s quite aggravating and takes a bit to get used of, but it’s an interesting spin on Paper Mario. personally I don’t like it compared to the original paper mario or even thousand-year-door, but Nintendo did an interesting take on updating Paper Mario. it’s fun I guess if you want something different from the previous titles, but I personally would rather have the old battle system and RPG style gaming compared to this one.
It might just be my preference but I prefer the traditional Mario Bros. side scrolling, or Mario world 3d over this, but it is good for those who like that RPG style game play. I tend to not really be a big fan of this but for those who are it does a good job. I love the visuals and the 3d is great. It’s pretty comical too and very charming at times.
Its a different feel than the traditional mario game, it was a nice mix of side scrolling with some rpg thrown in there. This game was fun,had a nice story, good worlds and bosses. Now that being said this game might not please hard core rpg fans, but for me it was nicely done game that was easy and fun and at times it was tough but nothing insane. This game has the classic nintendo formula which is to appeal to kids and adults which it did. I recommend this game to any 3ds owner that is looking for this type of game.
Reminds me of Super Mario RPG from SNES era.Humorous and light heartded and the 2D aspect just adds to the humor.Gameplay is smooth and just enough story to keep it interesting.Definite feeling of nostalgia for me, however I have not played the original Paper Mario game.Would recommend to anyone who liked the SNES Super Mario RPG, combat is similar and who doesn’t enjoy stomping those little Goombas into the ground?
This game is really fun, I was a little exceptical after reading some of the reviews, but while it’s true it does not compare to ThousandYear Door, the game is still pretty fun, lots of hours of gameplay and a good level of challenge. I’m about 12 hours into the story and still enjoying it, it is true that the battle system gets a little repetitive but not so much to ruin the game. I payed $20 for this game it has a huge amount of content, I am happy about this purchase.
Paper Mario has always been one of my favorite games ever since I discovered it as a kid. Although this hand held version is easier than the others (probably because it’s a hand held version) it’s still epic that i can take it wherever I go. Plus it was cheaper here than at Game Stop (I mean their used version) and that includes with shipping. So it was basically a 100% win for me. :)It’s a good for for kids of all ages :) as in actual kids and those who are still a kid at heart
