Game was as described and plays great.
I’m a big fan of the Ninja Gaiden trilogy on the NES (except Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom which is technically impressive and completely disappointing in just about every other category) so it was only natural I’d check this out at some point. I was able to find a very nice copy for around twenty dollars which is fair considering this isn’t the most common cart and I’ll admit it’s a very well done game that GameBoy/Ninja Gaiden fans should check out and add to their collection. However, the fact that I completed Ninja Gaiden Shadow in a mere two hours – and this was my first time ever playing it – really made me question the investment. The game isn’t nearly as difficult as the NES games (which is nice) but this is why the game can be finished so quickly. In a certain sense you can’t really pick on Shadow for this too much since older games tend to be shorter… and it’s a bit longer than Kirby’s Dream Land which is AMAZING… but I can think of many other GameBoy games that are much less expensive that will give you more bang for your buck like the overlooked Donkey Kong Land games.I can’t say I feel cheated by Ninja Gaiden Shadow – although it would have been nice for it to have more of a story like the NES games – but if you’re more conservative with the games you’re purchasing (I’m so totally not that it makes my wallet cry…) you may want to pass over this title for something more robust… or wait until you come across a really good deal.
Love this start to finish. it has great gameplay, music levels enemies and bosses as well. it’s a must for any Ninja gaiden fan of the past present it mostly appreciated by for older generation and younger preferly he older generation gamers!
For a game that you can beat in about 15 minutes you can replay it a couple hundred times because of the quality of the gameplay! Like all ninja gaiden games this game has it all , tight controls , cool songs , and smooth gamplay.
