The game is fully tested & guaranteed to work. It’s the cartridge / disc only unless otherwise specified.
It’s very simple… the NFL is football and this is the only officially licensed NFL game for the NES… the closest thing to “real” professional football that you can play without a helmet and shoulder pads. You can select any of the American and National Conference teams, and if you’re good enough, you can take them all the way to the Super Bowl! Team rosters are broken down into positions and individually rated according to skills, with position upgrade packages, player ability handicapping, actual NFL Offensive and Defensive Playbook alignments with audibles and even variable wind direction and strength.

This is one of the best sports games Peroid. This has great graphics (can compare to Madden 06 on the ps2) sound is nice, but my favorite feature is the use of the VMU. Your plays are shown on the small screen which means if you are playing with friends they dont know what you pick. This game was well worth my $0.01
NFL 2K1 should get the same publicity and promotion of the much anticipated Madden 2001 for Playstation 2. Sega has created the most realistic game on the market. I have had 2K1 for about two weeks and cannot get enough of it. The graphics are unrivaled and the gameplay enhancements require you to know the game. The new, unique feature of playing other Dreamcast owners on-line is most addictive. Just when you think there is no competition in your neighborhood, Sega, through SegaNet, extends the pool of competition across the country. This feature has allowed me to connect with friends from all around the country for a friendly game on the grid iron. NFL 2K1 is a definite must buy.
When I first played this NFL2K1 I had to figure it out but know im on pro level and thats after two weeks of owning it. I think i’ll be on all pro level in about three to four weeks. You have to try franchise mode its the best you can trade, draft players, and be the over all GM. I started a franchise mode and I got a team that is unstopable. On offense I got Randy Moss, Wanye Chertbet, Barry Sanders, Rich Gannon. On defense I have so many good players I can’t name them all. Overall NFL2K1 is a must have for your Dreamcast!!!
This game is simply amazing. The graphics are detailed to the max (although the sidelines do look a bit goofy). The hits and player reactions are very well done. It has a lot of customization options such as create 8 players, a team, plays, etc. Simply amazing. There is also a Franchise mode in which you can coach your team over years and seasons. You can trade players and draft picks and sign college prospects and free agents. (By the time you get to your 6th year good luck on finding a winning season because Moss, Carter, Manning, James, Brown, theyll all be gone and retired =).) This game will definitly keep you and your friends playing through a season which is very challenging. There are a couple gripes which keep it from 5 stars. One, you can block a punt every time if you line up on the outside of the left blocker. There are certain plays where you can pull all the DBs away from one side and just have a running back sweep out for open field and touchdowns. Also punt returns can be really easy if you just sweep from one side to the other. The multi-player game I dont play. I have played it and lag is horrible, sickening. Unplayable. Games like 4X4 EVO give me hope for Segas network (the online mode moves perfectly with no lag). NFL 2K2 could be simply awesome. Finally, If you got a Dreamcast, pick up this game. This game will be the love of fans everywhere because there just simply isnt much wrong with it.
My boys (8 & 16) already had NBA2K1 and the controls for NFL2K1 are similar so the learning curve was minimal. They were able to start playing straight away. Graphics are good and the sounds (taunts) are entertaining. The kids like it, so that is the mark of success!
Shipped incredibly fast and works without any issues. A classic game for a great price.
In a few words, this game is nothing short of remarkable. The realism in this game is over the top, and the graphics are tremendously well done.NFL2K1 is effective at creating a realistic passing game system, and surprisingly, creates a highly realistic running game; something that hardly any football games can seem to do. The A.I. in this game is also realistic. Usually in other football games the computer is just "pass happy," and throws a hell of a lot more times than it runs. Not in 2K1, however. The computer plays SMART, and has just about an equal balance of pass to run. So far, the only thing that I can complain about about is with the computer’s ability to make field goals. To put it nicely, the computer simply sucks at kicking field goals. Other than that, nothing brings down 2K1.Overall, NFL2K1 is a must have for all true NFL football fans!
THIS GAME IS BY FAR THE BEST FOOTBALL GAME OUT THERE GUARENTED!I ALREADY BOUGHT THIS GAME AND I LOVE IT, IT’S HARDER THAN THE FIRST ONE AND THE GRAFICS BLEWWW ME AWAY.I RENTED MADDEN 2001 FOR N64 AND IT WAS TERIBLE COMPEARED TO NFL2K1 I MEAN THE GRAFICS I GIVE 2 STARS AND FOR NFL2K1 I GIVE 5 STARS. … ANYWAY YOU SHOULD BUY THIS GAME I DID AND YOU SHOULD TOO!
The best football game to date. NFL 2k1 is a must have for anyone who likes sports titles. It will give anyone who has not yet bought a Dreamcast a good reason to. This update to 2K is a huge improvement, featuring online play, and improved running game, and a new franchise mode. More animations and higher detailed player models have been added. Some one has finaly taken the ball from EA and ran all the way to the end zone with it. This game just plain rocks, do yourself a favor and go get it now!
This game is better than blitz or any football game u ever played.I bought this game when i just bought my dreamcast. You can trade players to get your ulitmate team. The team are acurrate up to 2000.So the people you just got drafted are not there.Buy this game period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Don’t buy no other
