excellent use of 3d effect with this shooter.
Update: Since I don’t want to hurt fans’ feelings, I will give this game 5 stars. However, the warning remains valid for the unwary average player.Honestly I’ve been very lazy for rating any single item purchased at retrolio. In fact, this is my very first rating in my more than five years as a customer at retrolio. I do it because I don’t want other customers to fall into this game.Nano Assault drew my attention in that you have to enter some cells and destroy the infected regions and prevent the spread of the Nanostray virus into mankind. Thus far, the graphics and gameplay looked awesome. Then, 32 cells would seem a short story, but with this kind of challenge? I bought this game thinking of something close to Star Fox 64 3D. I own Star Fox and would say it is a good challenge: you die a couple of times, have time to breathe, blink, enjoy the game …In this game if you receive three hits, you have to start the level all over again. Well, I somehow handled the three first cells after a few dozens of nanoships destroyed. The fourth cell took me around 30 times restarting the cell. Then, I can’t tell you what’s beyond the first boss. I’ve been trying to beat that thing over a hundred times! Seriously, 100 times, not 10, 20,40, 70, but more than 100! Until now I’m not capable of defeating that worm. I can’t imagine what is awaiting in the next level, not to mention the final boss. I keep shooting and after all, just 1/4 of its energy is depleted. From many games you learn the p.
definetly agreat game a sleeper and the price makes it twice as worth it dont pass this 1 up trust me
I bought this game after I seeing screen shots of gameplay footage on a gaming blog; the graphics themselves looked so detailed and impressive, I didn’t really care about the gameplay, or that it came for a company not known for the quality of their games. What I most wanted was a game that made clever use of the 3D that the system has to offer, and provide me with a unique experience that did not come from Nintendo. Once I started the game, however, I was not prepared by how amazingly detailed and effective the 3D is in the game, and dare I say, the 3D might be a little too effective. I found that playing the game with the 3D slider at max created a great 3D effect, but was so powerful that I spent some time toying with the slider until I found the position that best suited my eyesight. AFter finding that, I played the game extensively, and came away reasonably impressed. If you like “bullet hell” shooters or shooting games a’la “Contra”, you will definitely enjoy this game; it provides plenty of replay value, and the difficulty is almost overwhelming in certain areas. The fact that you are given three tries before you die and have to restart the level is insanely frustrating, but for the hardcore gamer in me, I pushed forward, wanting to see how much more beautiful the game could get.If you are thinking about purchasing this title, be aware that,a. The 3D may be a little too taxing on the eyes, so adjust the slider slightly until it does not effect it negatively;b. The diff.
great product!
So I have been looking for a fun shooter for the 3DS that also has nice graphics. Nano Assault almost fits the bill. It is a good amount of fun with a couple different shooter modes and really cool bosses. It was a bit of a let down though in the end as I found the game to be pretty easy. I was hoping for a little more than a week or two of casual play in order to complete the story. Still, the mechanics are great and it is pretty. Maybe they will make another more challenging one.
kids love it
Great game,, love me some shoot’ em up!
Excellent space shooting game offers inline and arial view shooting on various planets. The infected organisms that invade the planets, move very well and are creatively designed. There’s usually an interesting enemy boss at the end of each stage. This game is not violent.
I bought Nano Assault ex thinking they were two different games a sequel and a prequel but they were the same game Nano Assault ex was the online version while Nano Assault is the retail version. so I gave the game to my friend and he loves itIf you buy this game don’t by nano assault ex and if you already have nano assault ex don’t try this game they’re exactly the same.
