I can vividly remember playing Mighty Bomb Jack in my youth and eventually beatingthe game. If I recall, I bought it from an online Video Game store- BRE Software(Fresno, CA.).BRE is still in business today, they have a shop in Fresno, CA. There were was also an arcade versionof MBJ, simply titled "Bomb Jack". It’s available on Tecmo Arcade Classics for the XBox. This game has verydifferent game boards, you go through different countries such as the USA and Egypt, finish the boardand go to the next one. The NES version is a side-scrolling game with a time limit to finish the area you’re in.I personally love the NES version better than the Arcade version, there’s lots of hidden secrets you canfind by simply jumping in certain spots. The controls take some time to get used to, but once youmaster them, MBJ is a blast to play. MBJ is one of the best games for the NES, it’s a timeless classicthat everyone can enjoy.
Mighty Bomb Jack is a creatively made game that is extraordinarily difficult to beat. For two days, I’ve literally practiced a lot and made many attempts to improve my game play by making different adjustments. Eventually, I beat it, reaching three different endings including the ultimate one.At the beginning, I’ve seriously questioned whether the game is too impossible to beat, but the practice has paid off handsomely well for me. Hence, it’s an excellent game whose challenge I’ve come to respect.I never played a game as hard as Mighty Bomb Jack. The controls in the game are thoroughly superb; I’ve got used to it very well, and I love the idea of imposed limits on Mighty Coins as well as others which eliminates the idea of farming for them. All in all, if I have to pick between Mighty Bomb Jack and Super Mario Bros. 3, it’s the former that gets my vote.Below are the strategies in how to beat the game. Check my youtube videos per stage by typing in "Mr. Math Expert Mighty Bomb Jack," so you can see what I mean.Let’s get the basics out of the way first.A is for jumping. Practice the jump a lot in this stage, and learning how to control it is a big factor in the long run. If you hold Up and then A, you jump much higher.B is for using a Mighty Coin. To be honest with you, I’ve rarely spent them, always conserving them for most part of the game. Each time you press B, the color of Jack’s uniform changes. There are three levels: Blue, Orange, and Green with the following ru.
