The Metal Gear Solid game discs and booklet are mint condition, but the Sony PlayStation C.D. case was fractured at its top left so I surfed onto eBay and I ordered a new Sony PlayStation dual C.D. case for the Metal Gear Solid game discs and its booklet, Mint.
I am running this game on a PS2. The discs I received had minor scruffs, but ran perfectly on the console. Keep in mind, you need a PS1 mem card plugged in to save your game.This is by far the best way to experience Metal Gear 1. The music is as intended by Kojima and the voice acting scenes goes much deeper. Highly recommended.
Espionage. Stealth. Run and gun. This game does just about everything. The sniper boss even kind of plays out as a side scroller. This was one of the first games I played that really took on the whole “game through a movie” style. By the end of the game, I felt that the “save the environment” message was coming on a bit strong but to tell you the truth, that’s really the worst part of the whole game. The creativity of some of the bosses really put this game a notch above so many other games. A psychic boss who tells you if your careful(havn’t set off many traps), cautious(you’ve saved a lot), and whether or not you have played other games by Konami. There are at least two different paths to attain the most current goal and often there are more than that. I really couldn’t say how much I recommend this game to anyone who can get their hands on it. This, ladies and gentlemen, is just simply a masterpiece.

Who must deal with sentries, tanks, helicopters and the fact his own CO might be lying with him.This is the first game that engrossed me. The first time I played this type of game and loved it. The story was rich and worthy of a movie. The gameplay is the right blend of action and stealth. BUY THIS GAME AND PLAY IT ON EXTREME FOR THE ULITAME CHALLENGE!
The cons for this game under description products stating that : Puzzles can be frustrating and that torture scene too intense for younger gamers. To me this was stupid. Most of the easy games can be boring. This game gets you be involved in the story and it’s very easy too follow if you are a serious gamer. Also, mature games are supposed to be harder than kid’s games. The puzzles are not that frustrating if you can think maturely (even kids can pass this game with any problem). About “Torture scene too intense for younger gamers”, I think there is a reason why they labeled this game Mature. Mature games are not for kids. This game is one of the best I’ve ever played. Great Story, Great Collection.
This game is named as one of the greatest of all time for a reason. It can be considered one of the first “modern video games”. I mean that despite its over-twenty-year existence, this game does not feel awkward or obsolete in its gameplay or story. It may be the third game in the Metal Gear series, but it is really the one that kickstarted its popularity worldwide. Of course, I still recommend playing Metal Gear 1 and 2 for the MSX (the games have ports on home consoles or can be emulated), but this is certainly a fine place to start an incredible, memorable, and moving journey through a world that, although fictional, still manages to feel alive.
Don’t judge this game just because it is an old PlayStation game with bad graphics. The graphics don’t even compromise this masterpiece! The writing is amazing! Expect superb voice acting, even for an old 1998 game. Some of the gameplay mechanics are a bit outdated, such as you can’t go in first person view mode when shooting a weapon. But everything else is awesome!!!!! This game has such a cinematic feel to it, and it’s basically a playable movie! This game has some really emotional moments, (no spoilers) but I know all these characters, and I bonded with them! Just play this friggin’ game!!!!!!
The product is as described except that tha picture is of the original black,white & red. What I received was the green,white & red copy. But all is good. Game played perfect. S&H was fine. All safe and intact.
Metal gear solid has to be a decent stealth game I love sneaking around enemy’s surprise attacks the weapons are good I love stealth games
