This game is incredible!! The game isnt just for adults, I’m 14 and can understand the story perfectly. Its just like a movie with plot twists, cool characters and plenty of action. Here are some pros and consPros–The graphics are by far the best ps2 has to offer to the gaming world.-The weapons are incredibly realistic-The action is very very fun with bullets wizzing by you and loud guns. Or, if you want you can sneak up on people and kill them silently.-Tons of possibilities gives the game more replay value than any other game out there. There are multiple camos to find and a lot of secret frogs to shoot (if you shoot them all you get invisibility, im trying to find them)-The guards are actually quite smart and call for backup.-The game is very realistic overall because you must hunt and eat animals, cure gunshot wounds, cuts, broken bones, disease, etc.-Cons -Theres not many that destroy gameplay-A lot of cut scenes, this isnt as bad as Sons of Liberty, but sometimes they are useless, i usually skip through pointless ones and watch the scenes that contribute to the storyline-The camera is very annoying, but youll get used to it. If your a slow learner with the camera and controls, youll be good with them after Virtous mission.- not being able to move in FPS is weird, i usually play FPS like Halo or Killzone, its weird at first, but soon its not too bad of a problemThats my review, this is a must by game for ps2 players, its worth the 50 dollars. I beat the game once and c.
This is my favorite of the Metal Gear Solid series.
“Snake Eater” is the third game in the “MGS” series, but the first game chronologically in the timeline, and takes place during the Cold War in 1964, where “Naked Snake” is tasked with stopping a nuclear-equipped tank in the jungles of the USSR. It’s important to note that this is not the same Snake from the previous 2 games. If you’re familiar with the mythology then you no doubt already know who he is. The story this time isn’t quite as serious, and actually has a “James Bond” kind of opening credit sequence. There are still harrowing moments, as when Snake gets captured by Volgin, etc. Three characters in particular besides Snake are allowed an unusual amount of depth: young Ocelot, who later becomes one of the series’ main villains and here first develops his obsession with revolvers; Eva, a seductress and spy whose loyalties aren’t altogether clear; and The Boss, the legendary female soldier and Naked Snake’s former mentor. What’s new to “Snake Eater” are the systems that maintain Snake’s health, which include eating food scavenged from within the environment (snakes for example) and curing yourself after taking damage (like removing a bullet with a knife and then applying the appropriate medical treatment). Also new is the ability to change camouflage on the fly to better blend in and help avoid being spotted by enemy patrols. These are great additions. I enjoyed “Snake Eater” more than “Sons of Liberty.” The boss battles are better and more numerous (the best of which.
great game..
Before you read this review, I want you to know that I haven’t been playing Metal Gear Solid for long; I was introduced to Metal Gear Solid 2 just last year, so I’m almost totally new to this…First, the story…You play a solo operative named Jack, but his codename is ‘Naked Snake.’ This is because he almost always starts a mission with no food, weapons, or maps; he’s naked. Anyway, the story starts off where Snake HALO jumps out of a military plane and lands in a jungle in Russia. His mission is to rescue a Soviet scientist and escort him back to America before the Russians can complete his new invention; the Shagohod (or Metal Gear, if you like). I’m not going to give away anymore of the story, so let’s start the review…Oh, and don’t worry if you’re totally new to the Metal Gear Solid series. You don’t have to be a Metal Gear Solid player to understand what’s going on.In terms of graphics, this game is ASTOUNDING!! The graphics are gorgeous, and the gameplay is always smooth; no stopping and going. Nothing in the game looks blocky; everything is nice and smooth. The lighting and textures are very realistic.Gameplay is awesome and fun. You have to avoid camouflaged mines, swinging logs, electric fences, and try to not be caught by patrolling dogs. Enemies hear small sounds more easily than in previous Metal Gear Solids, and the Alert level doesn’t go away when you go to a different area (even on Very Easy!)CQC (Close Quarters Combat) is incredible. You can interrogate en.
My only complaint is that one of the plastic tabs used to close the case is broken. Disc was in good condition, as expected (the retrolio quality label did not lie).
Man, my head is still spinning from the storyline. This game is an amazing cinematic experience. The camera angles, as always in Metal Gear games, are awful, but that alone cannot keep me from rating this game as high as possible. I didn’t think it got any better than Metal Gear Solid Sons of Liberty… until now. I only hope that Mr.Kojima has it in him to make a 4th installment.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is a drastically different game compared to the first two. Now the setting takes place outside in the deep forest-filled jungle, the underwater caves and eventually the mountaintops. Instead of sneaking behind enemies and knocking them out, you can simply stand faraway and shoot them with one of your guns. Minor disappointment there because it unintentionally makes MGS3 more like a regular war game. However it’s still incredibly important to infiltrate areas and go undetected by guards- there’s just significantly less emphasis on this trademark aspect compared to the previous two games. Interestingly, I can’t recall seeing any security cameras anywhere, a constant nemesis in the very first Metal Gear Solid for the PS1.The bosses are all pretty basic and feel ordinary and uncreative. The strategies required to take them out mostly focuses on standing back and shooting them whenever the moment/timing is right. You can simply use your handgun weapon to take them out as well. Not as strategic as previous MGS games. The boss covered in hornets in the cave/water area and the one where you have to avoid the flames shooting down the hallways are the more memorable ones, however. A lot of people like the old man sniper boss battle where Snake has to avoid being detected and sneak through quite a bit of bushes and trees to find and eliminate him, but it’s sometimes confusing finding your way through the paths in the forest which results in cheap shots o.
Metal Gear Solid 3 is amazing. Everything about this game is gold. Visuals, Music, voice acting, and superb gameplay. Hideo Kujima is a Genious. I had my doublts on this after the ever so great yet dissapointing Metal Gear Solid 2 but I was wrong. Metal Gear Solid 3 proves to be one of the best games around and is one of the biggest titles of the year. Forget Grand Theft Auto and play this game! Metal Gear Solid 3 is not only one of the best games ever created but it’s quiet simply the best MGS game. It has everthing you’ll love from the first one and times ten mixed with steriods!Another thing that makes the new gameplay of Metal Gear Solid 3 is the CQC and the new survival Menue which lets you eat, cure self and so on which is a great element to the MGS series. What also makes Metal Gear the best in the series is that the game is suprisingly long taking about 20 to 22 hours(It took me 18 hours)and trust me evertime you’re in a new area you’ll just stop and stare at the lushis graphics of the beautiful Jungle and its invorments. Metal Gear Solid 3 is also superb cause of the amazing boss battles. One of the biggest parts of the game is the Sorrow who is the coolest boss in the game(and the most mysterious). Overall Metal Gear Solid 3 proves to up the anti. So let’s get to it.Graphics:The visuals are amazingly detailed especially in First Person mode. The tree’s are very detailed some of the visuals on the water a greatly well done and even though you’ll find so.
I’ve never played a Metal Gear Solid game & honestly never had any real interest. I knew it would have that odd cumbersome over head angle and the main point was to sneak around so I never really cared to play it. I bought it recently because I figured my interest had finally peaked, about ten minutes into game play I was hooked., I realised this game isn’t about the sneaking, its about the story. I found myself playing just to get to the next cut scene & see what would happen next. beautifully written.
