It’s Megaman Zero, if you played them before nothing much has changed. It’s still fun and I prefer over the DS compilation, updated pixel resolution and it’s nice to play them on a big screen.
Great collection of games. And tough as nails.Amazing port. Sprite graphics still smooth and action is intense. My reflexes aren’t as they were back in the Gameboy Advance days. Challenging to say the least.Must…refrain from….using… casual mode….
The game has been shipped in excellent conditions. Thank you.
Such a good collection so many great games and so much fun the games look beautiful.
*Preordered this on the Nintendo eshop because retrolio didn’t have any available for preorder. They finally did it. This collection is excellent. All four games work beautifully, without much in the way of emulation artifacts or input lag.Playing these games on a TV like this is surreal. Of course, you could play the GBA games on the Gamecube’s Gameboy Player in the past, but it was nothing like this. No input lag, crisp visuals. No weird, interlaced picture; its an LCD game on a modern LCD. And casually transitioning between docked and handheld modes is just fantastic for this type of game. The Zero games are still as hard as ever, but the save-assist feature makes them much more approachable than they were previously. Newcomers can focus on improving while getting through the games at a reasonable pace, and more experienced players can use them to practice problem areas over and over for real runs. One of the best things about this collection is the audio. And I don’t mean the fantastic original compositions the menus have; the games themselves have never sounded this good. They are the same tunes without the limitations of the GBA or DS, or the upsampled jankyness of a GBA emulator. It just sounds like it’s supposed to, and the games have never sounded better. And on top of that, the voice clips can be been replaced with the original, uncompressed versions where available, so even the dialogue sounds better!Even though this is 10 dollars more than the base price of the other Me.
Not much to say, I don’t play Megaman but my friend loved the game growing up. Bought this for his birthday and was repeatedly given updates about the progress he made and all the stuff he achieved as he played through it. Awesome! Really glad he enjoyed this game so much. There is a plague of games that aren’t worth finishing these days, this one is different. (Particularly if you’ve got fond memories of megaman)
Includes 6 games from Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS: Mega Man Zero( 1-4), Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent. All games in one cartridgeHas art gallery, music playerAble to add various bordersFilter option: smooth filter (takes out pixelation), CRT (more pixelation), or OriginalAdjust Hud layout option. No touch screen support for Nintendo Switch in handheld for DS gamesZero and ZX games are selection separate menu. Easy to switch between, navigate. Wished they were all one same screen though-Has too added modes if you find the game too hard:Casual scenario mode – character get more buffsSave assist – more checkpointsThese make the game way easier, decreasing a 5 hour games to a 2 hour games. Makes you think if the original had bad checkpoints to artificially extend the lengthZ-chaser mode: speed run mode with online leaderboard. Able to view developer run of level/gameThere’s no audio and cutscene compression. There’s voice audio ZX-2 sounds better than original (from what i remember), but still have cheezy B movie dialogue/one liners . Wished they added voice acting to other games.Other than that, it’s just a straight port. These series is more story heavy and combat (vs platform/jumping) focused than original Mega Man games. Story can be deep if you look into it. Games (especially the ZX series) don’t tell you where to go, so must explore/get hints from NPC. Gameplay may feel dated to some, seeing limited movement of characters and menu screens.Game has some precise button presses.
This game retails for $30 – physical or digital. If there’s a shop selling it for more, DO NOT BUY IT.
