This is a combination of 3 separate cognitive functions: Memory, Concentration and Judgement. Each area has 5 different mini-games. It is my first ‘brain’ game, so I do not have a frame of reference for comparison.With each task, the top screen keeps a tally of the number of questions and how many you got correct. As you get right answers, your level of difficulty increases and as you get them wrong, your level of difficulty is maintained; however, miss more and your level goes down. The premise of each game is the similar, flash cards or objects are shown and you try to recall or match that item. it is easy and fun to use while it improved your brain!! As we age we need something to keep our brain fresh and continue to improved the brain. I really enjoy this product.
Good variety of games
First off, I am a big loyal fan of Brain Age and Big Brain Academy.If i had bought the Red and Blue version of this Brain boost series only then would i have felt ripped off. However, 15 games total (both red and blue included in this one + 5 new games) to test your concentration, memory and judgement feels like a warm welcome addition to the other popular brain game library. Some of the games are obviously inspired from Big Brain Academy but i didnt have a problem with that. Because they had a different method to complete a “popular” exercise. I’m also glad i didn’t have to scribble in numbers for counting exercises where sometimes I’m trying to write “6” and it would give me a “0” only to be punished for something I knew the answer .This isny really a con but there isn’t much animation in the game. However, I cant remember a point where it needed spectacular animation in the training exercises it offered. The only gripe i have is that the timer to complete the puzzles seemed like it was 10 seconds to long and i scored 100% quite often on a few games. There was only about 5 games where i was glad to have that extra amount of time.The Game wasnt inspiring nor that hard, but it also wasnt mind numbing for me. It was a cool relax get the brain warmed kind of game. The game is worth it in my opinion if you’re not looking to replace another brain game.Not a 5 star to say it’s something new, because it is isnt.Not a 3 star to say its only worth 1 play.
