My granddaughter was very excited to get this for a Christmas gift, but I really have no idea how much fun it is or how to rate it, since I have not seen it but once since Christmas. I can tell you that it is one of the games she brought with her for an overnight visit, so she must like it very well.
I bought this game for my 4 year old daughter, who is just starting to have an interest in video games. I knew that she would not be able to follow a game that was story-based. She can’t read yet, so we needed a game that was simple and didn’t require much reading.This game is perfect. It basically consists of at least a dozen mini-games. For example, the player must prepare food for the party, so there are a few games that require shopping and cooking. The player must also get dressed for the party, so there are a few games for making clothes or trying on outfits. There are many more but that is an example of how the game is set up. All I had to do was play each mini-game with my daughter once before she got the hang of it, now she can do it all on her own so overall, it ended up being exactly what we wanted.
My five year old daughter really likes this game. What I like about it is that no reading is really required. A narrator reads all the words out loud for the benefit of children that can not read yet. Great idea. As an adult, I think the game is a little annoying to listen to, but for a child it is great (and ultimately that is who the game is for). The games are simple, but not so easy that my daughter gets frustrated. Overall, a good game for a young child.
