Super Dodge Ball Advanced is a great game. In my opinion, its got lots of replay value. Sure, you can beat it in a half hour or less, but its a sports game, so you can keep playing. The graphics are average, but how good graphics do you need to play a dodge ball game anyway. The music is alright, but a little repetitive. The game can be either really hard or really easy and anything in between with the five difficulty settings and other settings too such as, how tough it is to throw a super throw. You can link up, but I never have so I couldn’t tell you how fun that is. To sum it up here is a list of pros and cons.PROS-1. Good replay value2. Multiple diffuclty settings3. Average graphics4. Appropriate for all ages, but then again, what isn’t5. Its dodgeball6. Game Link compatible7. You can name characters and teams even not your ownCONS-1. Repetative music2. Unlike the NES game, there isn’t a bean ball mode(mode that pits you individually against your teammates on a field)3. Also unlike the classic, there aren’t any River City Ransom Graphics, instead people don’t even have noses. If you never played River City Ransom, the old dodgeball game or World Cup just forget that con4. There is no team creator, which really, really sucks. That also ruins the whole point of versus mode too because you both have the same premade teams with just possible name differences.5. Too short of a game, needs more teams or something.
Having played this when it was in the arcades more than 10 years ago, I had high expectations for this game. Having played this gameboy version, its nearly as much fun as the original, and mostly authentic. The only negative comment I have is that its a little too easy.
The Game Is Fun Until You Beat It. Once You Beat It It Won’t Be Very Much Fun. However It Is A Lot Of Fun, Having Each Computer Team Different In Attacking, Defending, And Speed. It’s A Really Great Game Only If You Have Played The Regular Nintendo Version.
Great game
Early on in the GBA life there were few NES games remade. Earlier on GBC there were even more NES Games remade. However none could of come as much as a surprise, when Atlus Released Super Dodgeball Advance.Super Dodgeball was a classic on the NES. Along with it’s two other siblings Crash and the Boyz Street Challenge, and River City Ransom these took to NES by storm, and became incredible cult classics. Now almost over ten years later Super Dodgeball returns on the GBA. With 9 teams that are fully customizable, and five adjustable levels of Difficulty (sounds confusing, start the game and look under Config). When I mean dully customizable teams I mean this, each team has 8 players, there stats cannot be adjusted. However their AI can. So you can make one guy fully mobile, better defense, or offense. There names can be adjusted (up to 6 didgets) and the team name can be custmoized. Then there 6 hidden teams. Once beaten they too become available.Overall buy this for many reasons, to include multiplayer mode. THis a classic recomended to all.
I have to give credit to Atlus on this one. I just bought this with Krazy Racers as my first two games, and this one, WOW! I thought it would be simple, you know, catch, throw, catch, throw, but no!(hey, that rhymes)There are seven players to a team. There are already 9 teams, and they are the China Dragons, England Knights, USA Braves, Australia Stars, Russia Bears, Holland Angels, Japan Ninjas, Canada Foxes, and the Korea Bombers, each with there own team captain, who is (obviosly), there best player. Now, it’s time to create your own team. If you select championhip mode, you create your own team, from the team name, to the players, there abilitys, and your home court. You will work your way through the rankings, and when you are number 1 in the coaches poll, you will face the Dream Teams. The only one which I know of now are the Iron Men, which I still have to beat. If you select Exhibition mode, you may choose between the 9 different teams or one of the teams you have made yourself, and the court. There happens to be different courts, each color representing different surfaces, green is a normal court, blue is an icy court, red is a dirt court, yellow is bouncy court, and purple is a super bouncy court(and I mean bouncy.)Some of you may say that the gameplay is simple, not so. There are 50 different throws to master, catch and dodge. Some of my favorites are the piston shot, split throw, sidewinder, satellite, hailstorm(very hard to do, but hits hard!!), compressor and th.
THis is reson enogh to by the gameboy advance. it is a fast pace game that never gets boring. it is the best sports title I’ve ever played.
This game is awesome but all you can say is oh the graphics are good but you catch the ball and hit A. DID YOU NOT READ THE OTHER REVIEWS. You have 50 different kind of throws. Maybe you should get pretty good at the game before you give the game a bad review.
This is a fun game for the first week or so and then it gets a little monotonous. I do pick it up every once in a while though. If you have the money then get it, if not, buy Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.
great
