The game was brand new when I got it but it felt like half the game play came from Spectrobes and the other half from Pokemon. I still plan on playing the sequel though.

Originally bought for my nephew for Christmas and he went bananas when he got it!! He showed me how to play and we have a blast together!!!
I bought this game as a time killer until Pokemon Heart Gold came out and ended up really liking this game. For a new title and a subject I am not too interested in I really did like this game, I could not quit playing it. I am really hoping they continue with the Fossil Fighters, I would love another one of these titles.
My 5 year old loves this game
This is actually the 3rd time I buy this game for my son. He keeps losing the game and he insists it is the best game ever. And it’s actually pretty cool and there is educational value in it. They learn about dinosaurs and archeology.
The humor and storyline of this game are clearly intended for a younger audience, and the graphics for everything other then the battles were fairly crude (though this is greatly improved in the sequel). However, even despite these set backs, the battle system, the system in place for collecting and cleaning fossils and building teams of dinosaurs is a great deal of fun and is unique in a number of ways.
