This is one of the most addictive PS2 games I’ve ever played. I just can’t seem to get enough of it!
This game is dynamite Awesome, nice graphics and everything! I recoment this to everyone with a ps 2 system.
I’ll admit this has got to be one of the best RPG’s out there from my point of view. I mean it has so many things to offer in the game itself to be truthful. You have fluid quests you can take part in a vast collection of weapons you can master and don’t get me started on the skills there are quite a bit of them. Heck you can find a good use for a good portion of them as well so you shouldn’t struggle too hard during gameplay.I’ll admit though the only reason I bought it again was because my original disk got scratched so I ordered a new one and all was fine. Would recommend this classic for any good PS2 gamer who’s willing for that nostalgic binge.
This game is great. A credit to the series. Don’t ask me though, read the hundreds of gaming reviews online.
Dragon Quest VIII is a great send up to the old JRPG’s of the 90’s and 80’s. When one thinks about it, the story is pretty basic. Evil being enchants King and Princess and it is up to the intrepid Hero to save them and the Kingdom. The characters themselves are surprisingly 3-dimensional, with the exception being, of course the silent hero. That is my only gripe, though it is a minor one. The graphics are very well done for the time and the character designs are great, done of course by Mangaka, Akira Toriyama. The battle system, reminiscent of Final Fantasy, is a good one and easy to master. I recommend this game highly.
Seems to play well so far.
Haven’t yet to play this (been on a PS2 RPG kick for awhile-Persona, FF, etc.) but I will say that the game came in very good condition, with only miniscule wear on the case artwork. This will be the first DQ game I have played, so I am really looking forward to it!
I ordered this game as a surprise for my sister and a birthday present to myself. I absolutly love it. When I was younger my big bro would play it for me and I loved to watch him fight “The big purple guy!” aka Rapthorne, the final boss. It brings back memories and it makes me smile.
My son and I love this game and have bought it twice. The first one broke. It is extremely replayable! It is a very long game and it has a lot of side quests. It is not too difficult. But it is difficult enough to give you a good challenge!
Loved this game ever scince I was a child. It’s even better than I remember. But unlike when I wasba child , I will beat the game
