I enjoyed this game alot. Now 4 some reason alot of reviewers here have been TRASHING this game with negative ratings. This is not an RPG game. I personally wasnt into the other Dragon Ball Z games because they were all Street Fighter type games. I enjoy fighting games but i enjoy an action adventure beat em up game even more cause they last longer. This is a great game. Now you wont find any ground breaking graphics here but i enjoy the overall animation and character design alot and i like the cell type shading the game has added in. Nice clips from the TV show are also thrown in. You either start with 1 player or 2 and theres an objective in each stage. Once you get to the end of the stage you fight a boss like Raditz, Napp etc. Now the games story takes place in the Saiyan saga so it starts with Raditz arriving on earth, kidnapping Gohan, and killing Goku. Its up to the Z fighter gang to get the 7 Dragon Balls to wish Goku back to life before the other 2 Saiyan’s Vegeta and Nappa arrive. This game is 2 players and i kinda wish i had someone to join me in the fun.

the game was in perfect condition the case however was a beaten up old case other than that it was a good buy.
I bought this game when it first came out for $40. Total waste of money. I beat this game 100% in less than 6 hours with everything unlocked. The boss AI was pitiful, sometimes you could avoid boss attacks by levitating 1 foot off the ground. That’s not even counting the glitches. Quite frequently me and my enemies disappeared completely. Twice a boss went underground and never came back up. And more times than I can count, when I got knocked down my character got stuck in the falling animation, meaning I did not hit the ground until I got hit again. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!
Being a huge DBZ fan, I’ve been vicariously sharing the series with my 6-year-old son. I gave him an old GameCube of mine and decided to get this game for him.Pros:-The combat is easy to learn and a lot of fun.-You can play in co-op mode.-This is a free-exploring DBZ game.Cons:-Although you have some room to explore, you are still on a limited path.-The most you will get out of this game is 8 hours or so.-Replay value is okay for co-op, but gets redundant after a while.My only person complaint is that they could have done so much more with this game. I’ve always been waiting for a DBZ RPG instead of strictly classic arcade combat. This is a decent beginner’s thought to that, and I think if they would have taken the story all the way from Dragonball to GT it would be a hit and probably a good 40-60 hours of gameplay.
