One of my all time favorites. Not a bad translation on the 7800, either.
Aside ftom beong slightly downgraded from the arcade version amd being a little more difficult, this port of dig dug is still true to form and a blast to play. Who doesnt love dig dug?

Dig Dug for the Atari 7800 is, without question, one of the best arcade ports for the system. It has excellent graphics, including Dig Dug himself, the enemies you fight(ie: the Pookas and Fygars), the boulders you can use to crush the enemies, even the dirt you dig through. The sound effects are sharp and pleasing, almost perfectly replicating the original arcade feeling, and the music is just as good. And, as always, Dig Dug’s gameplay is so simple and enjoyable that it’s practically addictive. This game is one of the great, enduring classics of the 80s, and the 7800-version lives up to that legacy magnificently. If you own this system, then you should either already have this game, or you should be buying it right now. It is *that* good.
