As a kid, I could vaguely remember going over to my cousin’s house and watching him play this game forwards and backwards. We were wowed by the idea of blood being in a video game (we were kids, and this was before we discovered Resident Evil). Fast forward to 2015, and I have a hankering for some under-the-radar PS1 games when one of the YouTube Let’s Play channels I watch posts a couple videos of this game, and I knew exactly what I wanted to play. With a plot that reads like somebody’s Die Hard fanfiction and gameplay that attempts to blend the run-and-gun action of Syphon Filter with the tank control, item management, static camera, key fetching monotony of Resident Evil (I love those games but, damn, can they get tedious at times), Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn may not be the greatest PS1 game out there, but it IS something worth checking out, nonetheless. The plot is bare-bones at best: While NATO is escorting the French ambassador to Russia from St. Petersburg to Paris, a group of Russian terrorists take control of the Blue Harvest train, taking the ambassador and his family hostage and killing the majority of his NATO escort in the process. The only survivor is one Lt. Jack Morton, see also: you, the player. With limited resources, it’s your duty to go into the Blue Harvest, take out the terrorists, and rescue the ambassador and his family. Like I said, the plot reads like Die Hard fanfiction. The game features tank controls, an inventory management system, and a tedious.
Covert ops Nuclear Dawn is one of my favorite games.I just got it yesterday. It’s a lot like Metal gear solid. Most of the time you have to get cules to figure out passcodes and where things are.The game is mostly about stopping a nuclear bomb and saving a Ambassador and his family. There are 10 different wepons that you can use in the game. The wepon you start out with is a handgun. This is one of my favorite games.
I though this game was pretty well made. Every choice you make may determin the outcome of your game. I didnt think the camera angels were to bad. The controls wernt bad also in my opinion. The story was pretty sweet and the game was quite long its on 2 discs. I would recommand this if you like stelther games and such. If your more of the unreal tournment person iwouldnt recommand it. But i am both
As Lt. Jack Morton of NATO you are assigned to protect the french ambassador to Russia as he and his family return to France aboard the Blue Harvest passenger train. Everything seems okay then Jack’s life is sent right down the toilet when a group of para-military terrorists attack the train, kill your entire unit, and hold the ambassador and his family for ransom. When things don’t seem like they can get any worse, they do. Intelligence discovers the terrorists may have a nuke hidden on-board. Talk about problems! In my personnal experience with this game: What I like most is it has up to six different endings based on your skill. Everything from the nuke going off to you saving the day. Are you up to the challenge? I almost am. There is only one ending I have yet to reach.
