I got Cabelos Big Game Hunter Ultimate Challenge for PS One About 3 years ago and the graphics are so horrable and it is so unrealistic They have come a long ways since they created that game! Cabelos big game huner 2005 is rated T For Blood And Violence this game is Extremely Awesome and the calls and lures actually work this game is so great you have to get it! It is deffinately woth $30 bucks!!!!!!
I’ve really been enjoying this game. True, it’s not the same as actually being out in the boondocks camping but it’s a lot of fun nonetheless. Different and fun!
Cabela’s Big Game Hunter 2005 is one of the best video games i’ve ever played on Gamecube. The various types of creatures avaliable to hunt (36 in all) is a good aspect, just as well as the excellent graphics and sound. The realism in the animals’ behavior is incredible, making the tracking and stalking a well-worth-the-effort challenge, even in easy mode. All the miniscule details are refined, I’ve encountered only two glitches so far. (My ATV got stuck in the cranny in between two trees and couldn’t move, and then it got stuck in a pit of rocks. Ouch.) The ability to choose many types of firearms, clothing, and all other equipment in general is definitely a benefit. The only downsides, in my opinion, is the bad maneuverability of the vehicles and the lack of health points. I mean hey, you’re meant to get up close and personal with cougars, wolverines, bears, bobcats, lynxes, wolves, and others! You’re going to need a little more stamina than this. Despite that, the people at Cabela’s who make the games definitely know what they’re doing. The lack of glitches and accidents, just as well as the graphics and realism, is the main reason I love this game so much. Compared to Spyro games, which I have had too many glitches there to even remember (at least 35), and the graphics being eye-bleedingly terrible, Cabela’s Big Game Hunter is precious and pristine. I highly recommend it for any hunting sports fan.
Its now 2014, about 9 or 10 years have passed since this game was released. I played this on the PS2 though, but I have yet to play a better Cabelas game. Though I haven’t played them all, the ones I have played are not as enjoyable. You can make your own character and play through the story how you want to. The games I’ve played since have gave you a character to use and told you how to play the story. Not enjoyable as this. I miss it and am gonna buy it again I regret the day I sold it.
My son has used Deer Hunter 5 (PC) for several years. Based on reviews, I was afraid that he was going to be disappointed with this game. But he wasn’t — he really likes it. There is slightly more setup to be done, but it seems a little easier than DH5. It seems realistic, especially in how the animals spook. Now, I’ve never been attacked by a bear, but we had one hunt where it was pretty scary (also watch out for those wolverines!). Excellent game for hunting.
Best retro Hunting game
Big Game Hunter on Gamecube is very realistic, you have to think and lure in animals they are not just sitting there. Besides the Resident Evil games for Gamecube Big Game Hunter is about the best. Once you are in the hunter’s shoes you feel all alone and if you don’t take out your quarry it will take you out, great game, excellent graphics and sound also.
This game is always exciting. This makes the third time that I have purchased this game. my grandson and I play it so much that we have just wore them out. Keep on making them, for I am sure I will need another one in about a year.
