I love this game playit all the time
this game is o.k., the only problem is the only species of fish advalible to catch are bass, the fish are way easy to reel in and when the computer takes over from you to land the fish the rod looks very unrelistic. the good points are that the match fishing is very competitive, the bigger bass put up better fights and in practice mode big bags are easy to obtain. for the first 20 or so minutes the game plays really well and then the bigger bass seem to disapper and your left with pounders.when you progress higher up the match fishing scale whoah are some of the lures good, the popper, straight worm and [when fished near weeds or rocks]the rubber jig. overall i would say unless you adore bass lure fishing or a person who coarse fishes save your money for the marine version.WHATS THE BIGGEST BASS YOU HAVE EVER CAUGHT ON THE GAME? MINES A 21LB 4OZ ON A PENCIL BAIT FISHED ON THE LODGE.
I have never liked fishing, much prefer sitting on a boat and drinking a beer. Don’t like to eat them, so why waste a few hours trying to catch them. Bought this game for my 4-year old and we both are addicted. It is great fun catching the fish and picking the lures to use. I recommend it for anyone who just wants to waste some time and have fun…it is not brain surgery, so if you want a challenge look elsewhere.
This is the best fishing game I have ever played, and I have played a few. What makes this game great is the fishing controller. It’s like an actual fishing rod, but with no hook so when you cast, you don’t hook your mom (like I did when I was 5). This game has amazingly realistic graphics, with the water efects and fish looking lifelike. The fisherman himself, however, is your standard looking person. Gameplay consists of casting, reeling, and hooking. You have to pick different lures and use them like a reel lure. The enviroments are great. My favorite is the castle level. Everything about this game is great. One thing though, don’t buy this game without the fishing controller, it’s much less fun without it.

I loved this game on Dreamcast in middle school. I bought it for about $5 in the Xbox store for 360 and it is now compatible with Xbox One! So anyone who loved this game, buy it in the Xbox store! The controls all work very well and it has transitioned nicely onto the newer systems. Very fun to play and my kids love it even though they have zero interest in my other vintage video games. No cussing, blood, gore or anything which is great for the fam. This is my favorite fishing game on any system and it’s in my personal top 10 favorite games ever. It’s just simple and fun.
this game is very boring! is not even little bit of fun!the graphics are good. the game is a person on a boat and fishing! how boring is that! if you like fishing rent it first because the game could be boring to you too.

Although I play on rare occasions, I think it is one of the best launch titles for Sega Dreamcast. I got it with the Fishing Controller as a Christmas present last year. A very good game. I usally make over 90 or more pouds when a round is over. (I am not joking) You basically have to concentrate on the large fish to do this. And to make sure it happens, when you are in Lake Crystaldew, If it is raining or cloudy, go to the falls area, go all the way to the right, cast your lure, (pencil bait or popper) and Attract and hook one out of several big fish. This is great during the later levels. And if you place first on every tournament, (every level is better) you get the Sonic the Hedgehog lure when you get to Master Classic. (or Professional, I don’t know. Anyway, it’s definitely worth the 20 bucks.
