Great problem solving game. Bought it based upon a review by Major Nelson and his podcast. Well worth the money that was spent.
This is a great non violent adventure filled game. Search for items and win rewards. Hours of family fun for every age!!
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is a great game for families and gamers alike. In a word, its just plain fun. There’s nothing too deep here in the way of story or character elements. Its more about having fun in many different types of challenges and game worlds, with an emphasis on building your own vehicles in order to conquer your current challenge or objective. Add to that some excellent bright and colorful graphics, and you have a great game overall.Pros: Game is just FUN — Creating your own vehicles is a blast and gives the user unlimited possibilities — Still a decent amount of old fashioned platforming — Great graphics — Retains alot of the loveable traits of the old banjo gamesCons: Creating vehicles, while the interface is easy, could be pretty daunting for young kids — If you get frustrated easily with losing and retrying challenges, you might want to steer clear — The game overall is a tad difficult, which again could turn younger gamers offOverall I’d definitely recommend this game to people of all ages, but I’d advise to be careful with younger children as they might find the gameplay and vehicle creator difficult. Luckily, if you are devoid of imagination or just lazy, the game throws a multitude of custom built vehicles at your that will serve just fine in all of the challenges. Add to this that the game is cheaper than most, and its a must buy!
This game is fun because I enjoy creating things like vehicles in this game and if you bought it today you would enjoy this game
Banjo Kazooie is an interesting game, I love the mix of platforming and vehicle creation that this game allows; when put against a task there are multiple methods of completing this task by creating a default vehicle using the included blueprints of designing your own vehicle. If you enjoy platformers, this is the game for you!
You’ll either love or hate this game and I am a man that loves this game. I have been enjoying products from Rare since I was hooked on Goldeneye back in the day and still enjoy what they offer. Ever since Kameo I have wanted a light hearted and colorful world that I could explore and I finally have that experience with Banjo- Kazooie. If you’re looking for a pure platforming game than perhaps you should look elsewhere. Here is a new spin on a beloved franchise which I hope will continue its life on xbox.I understand that people are declaring the glory days of Rare have passed… I respect the opinions of those who are divided on this game and simply ask those who try this game out to try keeping an open mind. Yes this is a different direction for the series but the formula is refreshing from FPS that have a very limited color scheme. This game is an enjoyable experience and helps fill the craving for those waiting for a sequel to Kameo. I’m very excited to see what Rare has to offer in the future.
I understand that this game is a disappointment for many considering the legacy it was burdened with, but I still think it’s an objectively good game. I played this when it first came out and I had never played the N64 games so I just enjoyed it in a vacuum and had fun building cars. The lego style car building experience is easy to understand and the progression through the game is well-designed and keeps you interested in the things you are building. It also has great replayability (I still dig it up every few years) and I don’t know of anything else like it (the closest is Kerbal Space Program but that doesn’t have the gameplay aspect, just the building). I also really enjoy the art and style, which isn’t usually something I care about in games. So overall, I know it wasn’t what a lot of people were hoping for but I think this is a great game
This game was ahead of it’s time I think. Before the lego game fad hit, and the Wii came out to put everyone in a family-friendly mindset, this was an amazing build-to-play game. It’s still the platforming banjo we know and love, but the platforming is done with custom built vehicles that you put pieces together similar to legos or k’nex. One of my favorite games of the generation and very underrated. They put out a great game like this and get knocked down to kinect adventures? Poop.
This review is actually being written by my 12-year old son. Here it is.”When I got this game I thought it would be complicated building your own cars, boats, planes, and helicopters. It’s actually pretty simple and there are video guides to show you how to build a great vehicle. GET IT NOW!!”
This is a great game to play with the kids. My 6 year old son likes to build crazy vehicles and try them out on the test track, which he now does by himself.
