Alien 3 is not like the Sega Genesis version. This game had better graphics, better gameplay, and is extremely hard to beat. You play Ripley just like in Genesis. Ripley is armed to teeth with an pluse rifle, grenade launcher, flamethrower, monitor tracker for tracking Xenomorphs, and an blowtorch for repair and wielding , so you don’t need to scroll to change weapons because the weapons can be pressed from the buttons of the SNES controller. Luckily, this game has no time limit, but you have only one life, you die, it’s game over. This game had six levels with six objectives. The more levels you pass, the more difficult the next levels will get. When you complete an level, you get an password to the next level. You go to an computer filled with six objectives which can be done in any order. Once you pick any of them, Ripley will give you the briefs of the mission like rescuing prisoners, destroying an nest of Xenomorph eggs, repair certain machines, wielding doors shut, killling certain Xenomorphs, or repair pipes. You have to crawl through tunnels, climb ladders, dodging Xenomorphs who will chase you while you complete your mission. The ammunition is very limited, this makes this game very difficult to beat, so you have to conserve the ammo and dodge the nasty monsters. I prefer this game better than the Sega Genesis version. This game deserves an excellent rating.
Great game
Got exactly what it described. Would use company again
A must have for any fan of Alien movies, challenging fun
i love it just the way i remember l fun times tank you.
Under-rated SNES game; graphics and ambient sound are chilling for the 16-bit era. Challenging platformer that is sure to entertain the retro-gamer. Highly recommend.
Let’s be clear: Alien 3 for the Super Nintendo is not the same Alien 3 available for the Sega Genesis, or for any other platform. This is a unique game with some of the system’s most amazing graphic effects, ranging from swirling mist to pouring rain. The sounds for the aliens are perfect, the control is tight, Ripley’s character animation is wonderful, and the music is the most driving and memorable stuff you will find anywhere on the SNES. Alien 3 is a definition of perfection. It may look like a side-scrolling action game, but this is anything but. Each stage has you checking in with the Fiorina 161 computers and reading about your objectives. You may need to weld a door shut, replace a missing part for a necessarily machine, rescue some prisoners, repair fuse boxes, or destroy a nest of alien eggs. Each stage offers you around six objectives, and you can complete them in any order. You must journey around the stage’s map to get to where you need to be, racing through locations ripped straight out of the films and recreated as beautiful, multi-scrolling backgrounds. Once you complete all the objectives and return to the computer terminal for the last time, you’re done… until the next level. With a game this huge, you’ll be happy to have a simple password system to back you up every time you complete a stage. You’ll start memorizing where every medpack and weapons store is and rationing more and more desperately as the stages get mroe intense. Ripley has a pulse r.
Way better than the lame Genesis version. Very tough on the later levels. Level 6 password is ‘SQUIRREL’ if I remember correctly. ‘OVERGAME’ unlocks the game’s ending. Good luck!
